ZD 2023 Chardonnay, California
ZD makes one of California's most popular Chardonnays, a must for any Chard fan.
91 Points Wine Enthusiast: "Big flavors and a broad, mouthfilling texture help this barrel-fermented beauty stand out. Vanilla, custard and melted butter aromas lead to similarly rich flavors on the palate, where the wine feels layered and concentrated.
Connoisseurs Guide: "Ripe Gala apples and creamy oak are the dominant themes of the ZD Chardonnay, rich and wide-open offering, and, while subtlety and nuance are not its strengths, this is a wine that lacks for little in the way of juicy, outgoing richness. It is moderately full-bodied and a bit oily in feel, and, while it does not err to slow-footed softness, it is a tasty Chardonnay best tagged for drinking before too many years have passed."
