Silver Oak's Twomey Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from two family-owned estate vineyards. Limited new release.
The Twomey Sauvignon Blanc beautifully combines citrus, pear and green apple characters in a complex and balanced expression of this exciting varietal. It has a light straw color and a nose of grapefruit rind, juniper berry, star fruit, green apple, pear and elderberry flower. It has a juicy, fruit-sweet attack with notes of honey and citrus on the palate. The wine has a long, lingering, fresh fruit finish.
Notes from the winery: We grow Sauvignon Blanc on two estate properties: our vineyard surrounding our Calistoga winery and our Westside Road Vineyard below our winery in Russian River Valley. The soil and climate differences at these two sites gives us a range of expressions of Sauvignon Blanc that we blend to create our unique style. The Napa Valley fruit offers us a deft balance of citrus and mineral elements which is complemented beautifully by the guava and tropical notes from our Sonoma County fruit. With careful viticulture and judicious winemaking, we capture the essence of the soil and sunny climate in which these grapes are grown, and the minerality and freshness so becoming to this varietal.

From two outstanding Anderson Valley vineyards, the estate-owned Monument Tree Vineyard and the Ferrington Vineyard, here's a lovely expression of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir from the makers of Silver Oak. Aged 13 months in barrel, with 11 months of those spent on primary lees in 100% French Oak (31% new). This wine was made with 24% whole cluster.
The Twomey Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2018 was sourced from the sustainably farmed Ferrington Vineyard in Boonville and the organically farmed Savoy Vineyard in Philo and Monument Tree Vineyard in Navarro. We began making wine from Monument Tree in 2007 and have been so impressed with the quality of the fruit that we purchased the vineyard in 2010, recognizing that it had become the crown jewel of our Anderson Valley bottling.

Tasting Notes: "The Fluffy Billows is a good old American Cabernet that is polished and elegant. The aromas spring to life with ripe plum and blackberries jumping out of the glass. Sourced from the same vineyard as the Spitfire, but without American Oak. Two years in oak have softened the palate, making this a very approachable Oakville red wine. As with previous vintages we get hints of cardamom and other savory characters.
Unlike previous vintages, this wine does not seem to need extra bottle aging to settle down. The 2018 seems surprisingly drinkable for such a young cabernet, making it extremely enjoyable at the moment and an appropriate accompaniment to your next steak.100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.7% ABV.
The new 2017 vintage of Silver Oak's iconic Alexander Valley Cabernet now available!
The 2017 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is maroon in color with a garnet hue. It has an enticing nose of maraschino cherries, blackberry bramble and brisket with notes of clove and star anise. Mouthwatering with a juicy entry, this wine has a fruity mid-palate of currant with toasted vanilla and roasted brown sugar character from American oak barrels. Structured tannins provide an elegant character with a long and expressive finish. Given proper cellaring, this wine will provide drinking through 2041.
