Very limited Turley 2019 Frederick's Vinewyard Zinfandel now available.
93+ Points Robert Parker: "The Turley Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard opens with tar and savory black fruits, with graphite and earth nuances. Medium-bodied, the palate offers broody, fresh black fruits with a gently grainy structure and long, earth-laced finish."
...One of California's great wineries, Larry Turley's Turley Wine Cellars continues to play a critical role in safeguarding the Golden State's viticultural heritage, saving old, head-trained and sometimes own-rooted vineyards from destruction. With fully 29 different bottlings, Zinfandel (often complemented by small amounts of other co-planted varieties, such as Carignan and Grenache) is the standard-bearer here, though Turley also does a fantastic job with other varieties, most obviously Petite Syrah. Given how distinctive each of the single-vineyard bottlings is, it's tempting to suggest (though some will no doubt think it heretical) that Zinfandel might be the variety best adapted to expressing "terroir" in California."

Very limited Turley Zinfandel.
93 Points Wine Spectator "Best Buy": "Plump and zesty, this red is both fruit-forward and multilayered, featuring briary black cherry, licorice and toasty
sage flavors that fan out on the long, vibrant finish. Drink now through 2030."
93 Points Robert Parker: "The Turley Zinfandel Old Vines has a medium ruby-purple color and bright, inviting red and blue berry fruits laced with notes of apricot and dried flowers. Medium-bodied, the palate is silky, soft, super fresh and approachable with understated but pure fruit character. Lovely!"
91 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The Turley Zinfandel Old Vines is laced with the essence of black cherry, plum, spice, leather and licorice. Deep and juicy, but in the mid-weight style of the year, the 2019 hits all the right notes. The Old Vines is a blend of 26 different sites. Best of all, it's a steal at $35 a bottle."

The Turley White Coat is that rare white wine from Turley Cellars. A phenomenal Rousanne and Grenache Blanc blend. Limited.
90 Points Robert Parker: "The Turley White Coat opens with floral perfume and crushed hazelnut aromas with a very pretty core of honeyed quince. The palate is medium-bodied, silky and rounded with delicate, perfumed character and great freshness, finishing long."
Though the blend has changed over the years, White Coat (named for Larry’s past as an Emergency Room physician) comprises rich, textured Roussanne from Rattlesnake Ridge on Howell Mountain moderated by acidity and structure of Grenache Blanc from Pesenti Vineyard. New this year is the addition of Vermentino, as well as a little extra Grenache Blanc, from the Cobb Vineyard in Amador. The result is a unique, dynamic white wine with minerals, stone fruit and white flowers on the nose and great viscosity tempered by lean acidity on the palate.

Very limited new Turley Zin release.
95 Points Robert Parker: "Pale ruby, the Turley Zinfandel Judge Bell is bright and fresh, with a nose of red berries, apricots, citrus peel and amaro spices. The medium-bodied palate surprises with its depth and purity of flavor and is seamlessly structured, finishing very long and perfumed. It's a gorgeous expression of Judge Bell that deserves another year or two in bottle. 1,010 cases produced.
