96 Points Jeb Dunnuck:
"From the estate vineyard the fog and wind get to first, the Roar 2024 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard offers a softer elegance and demure profile and yet is still richly full-bodied in blue fruit and rose petal. Five different clones go into the wine, the grapes destemmed before fermentation, aged 10 months in 67% new French oak. It’s a complex red, with a lot of baking and wood spice as well as enduring earthiness within its supple, elongated tannin structure. Drink now through 2036."

Roar was started in 2001 by longtime farmers and grapegrowers Gary and Rosella Franscioni, who planted Rosella’s Vineyard in 1996 and partnered with the Pisoni family to plant Garys’ Vineyard in 1997. They later added two more highly sought-after sites, Soberanes and Sierra Mar. Gary and his two sons Adam and Nick run the business, with Scott Shapley making the wines.
