Herman Story 2021 Milk & Honey Red, Paso Robles
$67.99Herman Story 2021 Milk & Honey Red, Paso Robles
Another fantastic release from Herman Story - tiny production.
previous vintage 92 Points Antoni Galloni (Vinous): "Deep vivid ruby. Powerful, spice- and smoke-accented dark berries, cherry preserves, vanilla and licorice on the deeply perfumed nose. In a rich, fleshy style but not lacking for energy, offering sweet black and blue fruit, floral pastille, mocha and bitter chocolate flavors that turn sweeter with air. Chewy tannins add grip to a long, smoky finish that emphatically repeats the blue fruit and vanilla notes. This big, generous wine was raised in 77% new French oak barrels."
Paso is a place to push new frontiers in the exploration of full-force avor. Herman Story's Milk & Honey Red Blend exposes the best of the promised land. Tempranillo was chosen as the base of this blend due to its similarity to one of Paso’s new keystone varietals, Grenache, while also giving a nod to the region’s stylistic similarities to Ribero del Duero. While Paso is an emerald city for some, it is also home to derelicts and grifters and ne'er–do–wells, for whom the artwork is an homage.
