A limited new proprietary red from Duckhorn.
Over three decades ago, before crafting their first vintage, the Duckhorns and their winemaker had a passionate discussion at the kitchen table. Though they debated making a cuvée, they chose to focus on varietal wines. Even so, Duckhorn Vineyards has always remained fascinated by the artful blend of varietals from diverse Napa Valley vineyards. Embodying the depth and complexity of a world-class Estate program, The Discussion represents the pinnacle of the Duckhorn Vineyards portfolio and the ongoing dialogue that defines great winemaking.
The Discussion was blended using the very best barrels of wine from the finest blocks of our estate vineyards. While this wine is abundantly rich and flavorful, it is defined by its refinement and complexity. Aromas of licorice, graphite, blackberry, violet and French thyme offer a beautiful prelude to an opulent mouthfeel marked by pure, focused flavors of Bing cherry and spiced plum, as well as silky tannins. These tannins, and seamlessly integrated oak, provide lovely structure, adding depth and nuance to this age-worthy wine.

Duckhorn's new Chardonnay has arrived!
Duckhorn's second vintage of Napa Valley Chardonnay, this beautiful new release draws from premium vineyards throughout the Napa Valley to create a lush, richly fruited Chardonnay that is aged in oak for an elegantly textured, complex and toasty style. According to winemaker Renee Ary, "what I like about this wine is that it is a classic. It follows in the Duckhorn style in that is elegant, balanced, bold, and has acidity that carries through to the finish. The 2013 vintage showcases layers of white peach, nectarine, and melon followed by warm notes of nougat, creme broulee, and chai.
This lush and elegant Chardonnay offers vivid aromas of white peach, lime, melon and vanilla bean, followed by undertones of praline, fresh pie dough and pistachio gelato. On the palate, flavors of Bosc pear, honeycrisp apple and Meyer lemon are underscored by beautifully balanced oak, which lends warm nuances and layers of complexity that carry through to the long, silky finish.
One of our Best Buys in California Pinot Noir!
Migration pinot noir is Goldeneye's second label; made with some of the same great fruit that goes into the Goldeneye blends. Red fruit aromas—strawberry, raspberry and Bing cherry— create the scaffolding for this wine, which is also touched by pennyroyal mint, purple flowers and hints of oak. On the attack, sweet spice and the same pennyroyal mint open up to plummy mid-palate fruit framed by cola, forest floor and earthy mushrooms. Distinctive, affordable and tasty.
90 Points Wine Enthusast: ""A lovely, polished wine, the second label of Goldeneye. It doesn’t have the impact of the main wines, but it does share in their structural brilliance. Dry and silky, it has alluring flavors of cherries, cola, mocha and spices."
