Although Caymus is best known for Cabernet Sauvignon, they also produce a small amount of Zinfandel, which was a favorite of late Caymus co-founder Charlie Wagner Sr. and we have the rare new release! Â It is highly sought- after due to its quality and limited production. Zin is a varietal that can produce amazing wines across California, and Caymus' full-bodied version is perfect for rich foods and hearty cheeses, but also enjoyed with pizza and BBQ.
Caymus Vineyards Zinfandel California 2022 is a rich and expressive American red wine produced by the renowned Wagner family. Crafted from California Zinfandel grapes, this full bodied wine showcases generous aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, juicy plums and warm baking spices. The palate delivers concentrated dark fruit flavors complemented by hints of vanilla, chocolate and subtle toasted oak. Smooth tannins, balanced acidity and a lingering, fruit driven finish create an approachable yet flavorful wine. An excellent pairing for barbecue ribs, grilled steak, roasted pork, hearty pasta and aged cheeses.
Tasting Notes: Full-bodied and generous, the Caymus 2022 Zinfandel delivers layers of ripe blackberry, boysenberry and dark cherry complemented by touches of vanilla, toasted oak, black pepper and savory spice. Its rounded texture, balanced acidity and supple tannins lead into a long, flavorful finish.

If you would like Overnight shipping, please email or call us immediately for options. Please note, expedited shipping such as "2 day air" is for transit time only, this does not include processing time and therefore does not guarantee a specific delivery date. Our ability to respond to expedited requests depends on the particular wines’ availability. We work with many small-production wines which, if not in stock may need to be acquired direct from the winery and may not be available for shipping for several days after your order is placed.
