Another great chardonnay release from the master David Ramey. Get some while it's still available.
95 Points Wine Enthusiast: "The Ramey Russian River Chardonnay is a great appellation wine, overdelivering on price with an opening touch of matchstick that evolves into a stony, high-toned expression of tangerine and blood orange. Within the fruit are savory notes of nutmeg, hazelnut and ginger that linger leisurely on the lengthy finish."
91 Points Robert Parker: "The Ramey Chardonnay Russian River Valley is fermented in barrel with bâtonnage, then aged in 20% new French oak for 12 months. The nose is very minerally, with aromas of petrichor, lemon pith, green melon and soft white blossom with sliced almond hints. Medium to full-bodied, it's citrusy in the mouth with tons of minerally sparks, lively tangy acidity and creamy, toasty nuances on the finish."

David Ramey is making some of the finest Cabernet blends in California today - we highly recommend trying them now. The Ramey 2015 Claret Napa Valley is a great introduction.
92 Points Robert Parker: "The 2017 Claret is a blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 14% Malbec, 12% Petit Verdot, 8% Syrah and 2% Cabernet Franc. It opens with classic scents of chocolate-covered cherries, cedar, bay leaves and tobacco with a very classy frame of sweet spices. In the mouth, it's medium-bodied and plushly fruited with a fine grain and great freshness, finishing long. It would be all too easy to glug a bottle of this “luncheon Cab,” as David Ramey calls it."
90 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "The Ramey Claret is a pretty, elegant blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 12% Malbec, and the rest Syrah and Petit Verdot. This medium-bodied, silky, nicely textured red offers notes of ripe black cherries, currants, and assorted tobacco and herbal notes, and it’s textured and balanced. Drink it over the coming decade.
Claret is an English word meaning wine from Bordeaux. Ramey uses it to signify a blend of the Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The Ramey Claret Napa Valley is a blend from the Jericho Canyon Vineyard and Diamond Mountain vineyard.

Wine Spectator #7 Wine of 2019!
95 Points Wine Spectator: "Powerful and sleek up front, showing Honeycrisp apple, lemon blossom, Asian pear and Sumo orange flavors that are bright, fresh and heightened by crisp acidity. Delivers sea salt, white tea and nutmeg details on the finish, with a touch of fresh lemon thyme for aromatic flair. Drink now through 2040."
100 Points Wine Enthusiast "Cellar Selection": 'This is a stunner from blocks planted in 1997 and 1999. Beautiful aromas of toasted hazelnut and stone lead to a palate that shows undeniable minerality paired with lasting acidity. It shows freshness and energy throughout. Drink 2026 - 2032."
Ramey Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay is consistently one of California's finest Chardonnays. Second-tier doesn't cut it for Ramey fruit sources. Larry Hyde's gem of a property has been recognized on labels from Marcassin, Paul Hobbs and Kistler. Unbelievably nuanced for a full-throttle Chardonnay, this balances California flair with restraint and grip.

A great new Chardonnay release from Ramey. Limited.
100 Points Wine Enthusiast "Editor's Choice": "This wine is a testament to an outstanding site in the hands of an outstanding producer. It is a celebration of fresh Meyer lemon and Gravenstein apple woven against an elegant structure and quenching acidity."
95 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "One of my favorite releases from Ramey, the Chardonnay Rochioli Vineyard comes from a Grand Cru site in the Russian River and has incredibly classic notes of white flowers, tart citrus, and subtle orchard fruits. It’s one of those wines that’s both powerful and elegant, with medium to full body, a great mid-palate, integrated acidity, and just everything in the right places. It’s a beautiful, layered, age-worthy Chardonnay to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years."

Another stunning Ramey Cabernet - Very Limited.
95 Points Robert Parker: "From a site in Oakville, 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard is another huge, intense wine that also possesses wonderful nuance and delineation, a rare attribute for such a big Cabernet. Espresso, mocha, black cherries, grilled herbs and sweet spices lead to a huge core of blue/black fruit in this brooding, full-bodied wine. There is a lot to like in the 2009 Pedregal, but I can’t imagine the wine being fully expressive until at least age ten. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2039...Once again, I tasted an amazing range of wines with David Ramey."
95 points Wine Enthusiast *Cellar Selection*: "The producer’s highest-end bottling, this is tightly wound in fine-grained tannins with complex, diverse undertones of chocolate mocha, cherry-vanilla, black tea and garrigue. Layered and balanced, it sends gentle waves of black currant and cassis to the palate, a floral element lurking behind the proceedings. This well-made wine will cellar nicely, through 2032."
95 points Wine Spectator: "This features a deep, exotic streak of melted black licorice amid layers of blackberry and wild berry, supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and hints of espresso and graphite. Most impressive on the long, sustained finish that keeps repeating the core flavor themes. Drink now through 2028."

Another stunning Ramey Cabernet - Very Limited.
96 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from Napa, the Ramey 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard steps up on the richness scale and has Pauillac-like notes of lead pencil shavings, spring flowers, mineral, and both red and black fruits. With full-bodied richness, a silky, layered texture, and straight-up brilliant purity, it’s a blockbuster Napa Cabernet that stays firmly in the classic style of David Ramey. Drink it over the coming two decades.
94+ Points Robert Parker: "A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot, the Ramey 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard is deep ruby-purple with aromas of mint chocolate and laurel, split cedar, pencil shavings, toasted cardamom, warm blackcurrant, blackcurrant bud, red cherries and licorice. Full-bodied, dense and rich in the mouth with integrated but firm, ripe, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, it finishes long and dense. This still needs plenty of time in bottle! 647 cases were made.
