$29.99Harvey & Harriet 2023 Proprietary Red, Paso Robles
New release from Paso cult producer Booker Vineyards. A fantastic value!
94 Points Wine Enthusiast: "This Cab-based blend is dry, savory and yet still pleasurable to those seeking fruit. Aromas of espresso bean, dried berry and baking spice lead from the nose into a palate where chalky tannins frame dark blackberry and coffee flavors into a very cohesive display. "
93 Points Robert Parker: "The Harvey & Harriet Red Blend is composed of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, 12% Syrah, 7% Petite Sirah, 7% Malbec, 2% Grenache and 2% Cabernet Franc matured for 18 months in 50% new French oak. It has a nose of red and black currants, tobacco, oolong tea leaves, potpourri and mossy bark. The palate is medium-bodied, chalky and fresh with layered, nuanced flavors and a long, fragrant finish. This offers great quality for its modest price."
91 Points VINOUS: "The Harvey & Harriet 2023 Red Blend is a total pleasure to take in as crushed blackberries and cherries combine with autumnal spices and nuances of licorice. Soft textured and round, it offers brisk acidity and ripe wild berry fruit that finds lovely contrast in a bitter tinge of dark chocolate toward the close. Gently tannic and pleasing to the senses, the wine carries through a long, balanced finish as a hint of tart blackcurrant fades."
Like most stories, ours begins with memories. When founder Eric Jensen set out to produce a line of high-quality yet approachable wines from Paso Robles, he named them after his parents Harvey and Harriet. For Eric, family symbolized love, togetherness and good times. And because Harvey & Harriet wines were so personal, he made them without compromises: thoughtfully farmed, painstakingly crafted and bottled from only the best grapes. Today, our story remains unchanged. Harvey & Harriet wines are always ready for the moment, inspired by life's magic.
