99 Points International Wine Review: "The 2021 Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon from Tor is flat-out stunning in this vintage. It opens to incredibly captivating aromatics of ripe dark currants and blackberries that are joined by dustings of graphite, crushed gravel, violets, iron and a slight touch of mocha that all take shape as this unwinds in the glass. The palate is just as compelling, full-bodied, concentrated and structured with big tannins that are beautifully polished and well-integrated into its sweet, concentrated core. The mouthfeel is plush and layered with delicious flavors of ripe blackberries, black cherries, spices floral and graphite that continue to build as it seamlessly enters the incredibly long, yet graceful finish. 96 Points Robert Parker: "Richly tannic and firm, the full-bodied 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon clearly needs some time, although its pristine aromas of black cherries, cedar, vanilla and loamy earth are spot-on for both variety and site... Jeff Ames has made the wines for Napa PR legend-turned-vintner Tor Kenward for more than a decade now, turning out rich, seductive wines from a bevy of top vineyards across Napa. Tasting through the lineup of bottled 2019s, what stands out is the quality of the tannins produced by these sites and the inherent balance they each maintain. These wines are expensive, but the pedigree of the sites, the quality of the winemaking and the passion of the owner are all noteworthy.
