Winemaker Robbie Meyer has crafted some of Napa's best Cabernet's at Lewis Cellars, Jericho Canyon, Del Dotto and Grassi and he's hit paydirt with his small-production private label Peirson Meyer 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon. Only 350 cases produced.

94 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "Another stand out in this set of new releases, the Pierson-Meyer 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is powerful and deep, but very much in the mid-weight style that defines the Peirson Meyer wines. Tobacco, cedar, smoke, leather and licorice add savoriness and nuance to this super-expressive Cabernet Sauvignon. This is an especially bright and elegant style for Kenefick Ranch."

previous vintage 94 Points Robert Parker:  "The Peirson-Meyer Cabernet Sauvignon is a 395-case cuvée from Calistoga’s Kenefick Ranch. This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 75% new French oak for 20 months. Dense purple with notes of creosote, charcoal embers, blackcurrant fruit, licorice and chocolate. It is full-bodied, rich, concentrated and layered. This is a beauty to drink over the next 20 or so years."
