Nid Tissé 2019 Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
$84.99Nid Tissé 2019 Bacigalupi Vineyard Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
96 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "In the same ballpark quality-wise, yet in a very different style, the 2019 Chardonnay Bacigalupi Vineyard comes from the Russian River and offers a bigger, richer style in its notes of ripe melon, pear jam, flower oil, and toasted bread. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a beautifully balanced mouthfeel, nicely integrated acidity, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It's another beautiful wine from this winemaker that merits serious attention. Drink bottles any time over the coming 10-12 years."
Marie-Laure Ammons founded Nid Tissé, the name itself translates to “woven nest”, in French. A native of France, she studied wine in Burgundy and Bordeaux. Nid Tisse evokes traveling to a new place and making a home - hers being in Napa Valley for nearly 20 years, 18 of them working with Philippe Melka. Nid Tisse reflects a marriage of the old and new world -California sunshine with freshness, texture and ability to gracefully age that are rooted in the tradition of old world wines. Great wines come from great vineyards and she is excited be working with the historic vineyards and some of the great grape growing families in the region, Bacigalupi and Hyde.
