97 Points
Andrew Will is one of Washington States finest wineries. We highly recommend the Sorella Proprietary Red, one of the best Bordeaux Blends in Washington and top-scoring wine of the vintage.
99 Points Robert Parker: "Flirting with triple digits, and perhaps the best Sorella yet, the Andrew Will 2019 Sorella explodes from the glass with a fantastic mineral essence that sways between dark red fruit tones, oak essence and freshly opened flowers. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is impeccably balanced with a silky-smooth mid-palate that bestows a stunningly beautiful wine with gobs of complexity and a ripe frame of glossy black raspberry and blackberry fruit tones. Unwinding across the finish, the wine unpacks gorgeous layers that seduce me for a second, third and fourth sip and finally begs me to finish the glass. Buy this ASAP!"
97 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "The flagship from this talented team is the Andrew Will 2019 Sorella, which is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% each of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, all from the Champoux Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Deep purple-hued, with a great nose of cassis, blackcurrants, tobacco leaf and lead pencil, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, silky, polished tannins, and terrific overall balance. It shows the pure, elegant, seamless style of the vintage and will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and evolve nicely for at least two decades. This is pure class. Trust me, this will pass undetected in a blind lineup of top Bordeaux....This is another brilliant lineup of wines from Andrew Will. As I’ve written in the past, readers looking for classic, age-worthy Bordeaux blend can’t go wrong with these."
Robert Parker: "Readers looking for classic, age-worthy Washington state Bordeaux blends need look no further than this terrific estate. As always, they release a few appellation blends (Esploso and Sorella) and numerous single vineyard wines (Champoux, Ciel du Cheval, Mays’ and Two Blondes). The wines show singular characters and have broad drink windows."
