94+ Points Parker
Very Limited new release of Pride winemaker Robert Foley's private label. The Robert Foley Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most collectible Napa Cabernet's available.
94+ Points Robert Parker: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Calistoga, Mt. Veeder and Atlas Peak) is essentially the same size, maybe slightly more concentrated, with more noticeable tannin, but again, much like most wines from this vintage, it possesses wonderful, charming, nearly irresistibly ripe, juicy fruit, succulence, opulence and a medium to full-bodied personality. Drink it over the next 12-15 years."
New release of Pride winemaker Robert Foley's private label. The Robert Foley Claret is one of the most collectible Napa Cabernets. Limited.
95 Points Robert Parker: "The 2014 Claret is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot coming from Calistoga, Howell Mountain and Mt. Veeder. This represents 600 cases of a large-boned, virile, big, juicy blackcurrant and blackberry-scented and flavored Cabernet Sauvignon with some background toast, licorice and forest floor. It has terrific richness, sweet, velvety tannin, and notable opulence and length. Drink it over the next 15 or so years...
...Robert Foley, of course, became well-known during his 15-year stint as the winemaker at Pride Mountain Vineyards, high above Spring Mountain. However, he has also made wine at other well-known sites known for quality, including Hourglass, Switchback and Paloma. He only has three wines under his name, and they are all noteworthy efforts."

previous vintage 96 Points Robert Parker: "The Claret (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has that ethereal nose of spring flowers, boysenberry, blueberry, black currant, and spice. Following that seductive aromatic display, Foley’s brilliance is again exhibited in the mouthfeel of this seamless wine, which has full-bodied flavors, no hard edges, gorgeous layers of fruit, and loads of complexity already, but is still a youthful wine with its best days ahead of it. This is brilliant winemaking, as some of us have come to expect from Bob Foley, and it should age well for 15-20 years."
The irrepressible and highly talented Bob Foley is out on his own now, although still consulting, and these wines are his personal projects. They have been very successful in the past, and there’s no indication that he intends to rest on his laurels.
