We're already big fans of this winery's Cabernet Sauvignon, and now we love their sauvignon Blanc sourced from a ranch on the eastern side of Napa Valley about three miles south of the winery. The fruit is whole-cluster pressed and fermented in 60% stainless steel and 40% French oak barrels. Jericho Canyon 2013 Sauvignon Blanc has fresh tropical fruit notes with hints of guava, green apple, lime, and crushed stone. Its rich, juicy palate finishes with just the perfect touch of vibrant acidity. Delicious!

Super-ripe but with impressive underlying acidity and structure, the wine has notes of charcoal, roasted herbs, tapenade, black currant, licorice, and camphor. It is deep, full-bodied, rich, with good acidity and sweet tannin. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. This source for Cabernet Sauvignon was made famous by well-known wine consultant and winemaker David Ramey when he was sourcing fruit from this site. They now estate-bottle their own wines, and this is a cuvee of around 400 cases made from 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc."
