Fantastic boutique Napa Cabernet from Stewart Cellars. Highly recommended.
This Napa Cabernet punches way above its price point and competes quite handily with its much pricier peers. The wine is terrific, loaded with youthful blueberry, currant and blackberry fruit with hints of mocha and spice from 22 months in 70% new French oak.
The Stewart Cellars 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is an intense, full-bodied Cabernet that flows with dark notes of clove and leather on the nose. Flavors of cardamom, blackcurrant, and blackberry are beautifully layered on the palate leading into a unique, subtle hint of redwood. The finish is accented with flavors of mocha and is refined by the textured French oak. Decant and drink now, or cellar through 2035.
