New vintage of Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet now available.
96 Points Sames Suckling: "This is a big upgrade in finesse and clarity to such a popular, premium cabernet from Napa. It shows lots of blackberry, tar, cedar and oak-tree aromas that follow through to a full yet toned palate of fine, integrated tannins and a vivid finish. Owner David Duncan explained that the American oak they use in the wine for aging now comes 100% from their own barrel-making facilities, which tones down the vanilla character in the wine. Really impressive and delicious. It’s a joy to drink now, but can age. Drink or hold."
The Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is more limited in availability than the Alexander Valley. Production is the largest yet for the Silver Oak 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa (a blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec blended in). Full-bodied, chewy, and muscular with an inky dark ruby/plum color, and hints of wood smoke, tobacco, cinnamon, espresso roast, and herbs, this dense, chewy, lavishly oaked wine should drink well for 10-12 years.

Just released and sourced exclusively. Fashioned by Matt Meyer, son of Silver Oak Cellars’ owners Bonny and Justin Meyer. About as limited as Silver Oak Wines and equally delicious, this rarity is an irresistible offer at a fantastic price.
Tasting Notes: "The Meyer Family Fluffy Billows is a good old American Cabernet that is polished and elegant. The aromas spring to life with ripe plum and blackberries jumping out of the glass. Sourced from the same vineyard as the Spitfire, but without American Oak. Two years in oak have softened the palate, making this a very approachable Oakville red wine. As with previous vintages we get hints of cardamom and other savory characters.
Unlike previous vintages, this wine does not seem to need extra bottle aging to settle down. The 2019 seems surprisingly drinkable for such a young cabernet, making it extremely enjoyable at the moment and an appropriate accompaniment to your next steak.100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.7% ABV.

Twomey's small-production Pinot Noir from the folks at Silver Oak is now available in limited quantities.
From two outstanding Anderson Valley vineyards, the estate-owned Monument Tree Vineyard and the Ferrington Vineyard, here's a lovely expression of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir from the makers of Silver Oak. Aged 13 months in barrel, with 11 months of those spent on primary lees in 100% French Oak (31% new). This wine was made with 24% whole cluster.
The Twomey Anderson Valley Pinot Noir was sourced from the sustainably farmed Ferrington Vineyard in Boonville and the organically farmed Savoy Vineyard in Philo and Monument Tree Vineyard in Navarro. We began making wine from Monument Tree in 2007 and have been so impressed with the quality of the fruit that we purchased the vineyard in 2010, recognizing that it had become the crown jewel of our Anderson Valley bottling.
