New vintage of Silver Oak 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet now available.
The Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is more limited in availability than the Alexander Valley. Selected from vineyards throughout the appellation, it is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.6% Merlot, 3.6% Cabernet Franc, 2.4% Petit Verdot and 1.4% Malbec. Full-bodied, chewy, and muscular with an inky dark ruby/plum color, and hints of wood smoke, tobacco, cinnamon, espresso roast, and herbs, this dense, chewy, lavishly oaked wine should drink well for 10-12 years.
Winemaker Nate Weis' Tasting Notes: "Deep ruby in color, our 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an opulent wine with notes of cassis, ripe raspberry, toasted coconut and shiitake mushroom. This wine has a rich entry, depth through the mid-palate, great structure without being heavy and exceptional length on the finish. Fresh cherry flavors balanced with floral notes and a subtle hint of black pepper add a beautiful complexity. Plush tannins lend to its ageworthiness. Given proper cellaring conditions, this wine will show beautifully through 2040."$ 24.99
Silver Oak's Twomey Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from two family-owned estate vineyards. Limited new release.
The Twomey Sauvignon Blanc beautifully combines citrus, pear and green apple characters in a complex and balanced expression of this exciting varietal. It has a light straw color and a nose of grapefruit rind, juniper berry, star fruit, green apple, pear and elderberry flower. It has a juicy, fruit-sweet attack with notes of honey and citrus on the palate. The wine has a long, lingering, fresh fruit finish.
Notes from the winery: We grow Sauvignon Blanc on two estate properties: our vineyard surrounding our Calistoga winery and our Westside Road Vineyard below our winery in Russian River Valley. The soil and climate differences at these two sites gives us a range of expressions of Sauvignon Blanc that we blend to create our unique style. The Napa Valley fruit offers us a deft balance of citrus and mineral elements which is complemented beautifully by the guava and tropical notes from our Sonoma County fruit. With careful viticulture and judicious winemaking, we capture the essence of the soil and sunny climate in which these grapes are grown, and the minerality and freshness so becoming to this varietal.

Just released and sourced exclusively. Fashioned by Matt Meyer, son of Silver Oak Cellars’ owners Bonny and Justin Meyer. About as limited as Silver Oak Wines and equally delicious, this rarity is an irresistible offer at a fantastic price.
Tasting Notes: "Spitfire is a good old American Cabernet that is polished and elegant. The aromas spring to life with ripe plum and blackberries jumping out of the glass. Once open for a few minutes, we start to see the telltale American Oak vanilla along with hints of caramel and pepper. Two years in oak have softened the palate, making this a very approachable Oakville red wine. As with previous vintages we get hints of cardamom and other savory characters.
Unlike previous vintages, this wine does not seem to need extra bottle aging to settle down. The 2076 seems surprisingly drinkable for such a young cabernet, making it extremely enjoyable at the moment and an appropriate accompaniment to your next steak.100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.7% ABV.

Twomey's small-production Pinot Noir from the folks at Silver Oak is now available in limited quantities.
The Twomey Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2017 was sourced from the sustainably farmed Ferrington Vineyard in Boonville and the organically farmed Savoy Vineyard in Philo and Monument Tree Vineyard in Navarro. We began making wine from Monument Tree in 2007 and have been so impressed with the quality of the fruit that we purchased the vineyard in 2010, recognizing that it had become the crown jewel of our Anderson Valley bottling.
