95 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "Ripe with toasted baking spices of nutmeg and cardamom, the Senses 2021 Pinot Noir MCM88 is lush with black and blue fruit, black raspberry liqueur, and forest floor. Full-bodied without being weighted, it’s expressive, with rounded fruit that fills the palate with notes of black cherry, dark soil, and toasted cedar. It has a slightly more primary nature but will age well over the next 15 years.
Senses Wines is a very promising project launched by three young guys from Occidental on the Sonoma Coast. Chris Strieter: MA in Finance and ex-Williams-Selyem Cellar Rat. Max Thieriot: Multi-generation grape grower and on-screen star of Bates Motel and Seal Team! Myles Lawrence-Briggs: Sonoma native returning home to learn the winemaking craft after a brief foray into English Literature. This trio are connected and committed to the wine business and knocking out some seriously impressive wines. They have now secured the inimitable talents of cult winemaker Thomas Rivers-Brown to craft their wines!
