Full bodied, concentrated and structured, it imparts steely, lively flavors of lemon peel and tangerine, finishing with a soft silkiness to the texture and overall balance of weight."

95 Points Wine Enthusiast: "The Ramey Russian River Chardonnay is a great appellation wine, overdelivering on price with an opening touch of matchstick that evolves into a stony, high-toned expression of tangerine and blood orange. Within the fruit are savory notes of nutmeg, hazelnut and ginger that linger leisurely on the lengthy finish."
91 Points Robert Parker: "The Ramey Chardonnay Russian River Valley is fermented in barrel with bâtonnage, then aged in 20% new French oak for 12 months. The nose is very minerally, with aromas of petrichor, lemon pith, green melon and soft white blossom with sliced almond hints. Medium to full-bodied, it's citrusy in the mouth with tons of minerally sparks, lively tangy acidity and creamy, toasty nuances on the finish."

David Ramey is making some of the finest Cabernet blends in California today - we highly recommend trying them now. The Ramey 2015 Claret Napa Valley is a great introduction.
92 Points Robert Parker: "The 2017 Claret is a blend of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 14% Malbec, 12% Petit Verdot, 8% Syrah and 2% Cabernet Franc. It opens with classic scents of chocolate-covered cherries, cedar, bay leaves and tobacco with a very classy frame of sweet spices. In the mouth, it's medium-bodied and plushly fruited with a fine grain and great freshness, finishing long. It would be all too easy to glug a bottle of this “luncheon Cab,” as David Ramey calls it."
90 Points Jeb Dunnuck: "The Ramey Claret is a pretty, elegant blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 12% Malbec, and the rest Syrah and Petit Verdot. This medium-bodied, silky, nicely textured red offers notes of ripe black cherries, currants, and assorted tobacco and herbal notes, and it’s textured and balanced. Drink it over the coming decade.
Claret is an English word meaning wine from Bordeaux. Ramey uses it to signify a blend of the Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The Ramey Claret Napa Valley is a blend from the Jericho Canyon Vineyard and Diamond Mountain vineyard.

95 Points Wine Spectator: "A stunning white wine, with plenty of power and balance to the mix of details, including lemon curd, Fuji apple, mandarin orange and a hint of ripe Crenshaw melon. Offers accents of white tea, fresh clipped herbs and creamy salted butter that are seamlessly integrated with firm acidity. Drink now through 2030."
98 Points Wine Enthusiast: "From older plantings on a wide-spaced site - one the producer has worked with for some time - this wine is complicated and wild, combining rich, elegant flavors of salty sea breeze with ginger and lemon puree. Seamless and supple, it has a backbone of structure and lively acidity that pair effortlessly with the apple and pear."
