New release of Ojai's fantastic Bien Nacido Pinot Noir. Limited.
previous vintage 97 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "A vivid, totally alive wine, the Pinot Noir Bien Nacido is absolutely impeccable. Dark cherries, plums, mint, cloves and new leather are some of the many notes that take shape in the glass. The 2010 stands out for its delineation, nuance and breathtaking finesse. Cool veins of minerality support the finish. Next to the Solomon Hills, the Bien Nacido Pinot is a little more savory and aromatically nuanced, while the fruit is less overt. It will be fascinating to compare the two wines as they age in bottle..."
...This is a fabulous set of wines from Ojai. Winemaker/Proprietor Adam Tolmach and Assistant Winemaker Fabien Castel hit the ball out of the park with a number of these new releases. Frankly, I am not sure where to start, as there are so many wines here that are worthy of serious consideration... As a consumer, sometimes it feels there are no great values left in California. Ojai is a rare exception. These wines deliver the goods (and then some) yet remain exceptionally fairly priced."

previous vintage 93 Points Wine Spectator: "Big, smooth, rich and generous, displaying lively plum, wild berry and blackberry flavors that touch on jammy in a pleasing way. This picks up spice and nutmeg scents, showing a firmness that gives the flavors traction. Drink now through 2020."
New Pinot Release from A.P. Vin, one of Pinot's hottest up and coming labels and sourced from the famous Gary's Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands.
94 Point Robert Parker: "From a vintage that had big yields and heavy cluster weights (harvest started mid-September and finished late in October), the 2014 Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard (saw 11 months in 50% new oak) is a stunner that's up with the creme de la creme of the vintage. Forest floor, strawberries, plums, earth and underbrush all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, elegant and silky Pinot Noir that has fine tannin, no hard edges and impeccable balance. It's another terrific wine from winemaker Andrew Vingiello....Winemaker Andrew Vingiello continues to make a bevy of brilliant wines. They’re always packed with fruit, yet never lose typicity or soul. All of these Pinot Noirs were mostly destemmed (a few have 25% whole cluster) and aged in French oak barrels, with an average of 50% new."
