In 1995, Kemiji decided to try his hand at winemaking, and formed Miura Vineyards.
A very juicy Pinot from this famed Central Coast site, favoring brightness and acidity over rich fat fruit. Ah, but fruit abounds, too--particularly strawberries and cranberries--balanced by tangy acid and a long, silken structure. Spice on the close keeps things interesting till the very last sip. A lovely Pinot to enjoy with exotic foods, try Moroccan lamb or chicken tagine. Only a few hundred cases were produced. Tiny production, hard to find, fantastic Pinot Noir to snap up while its available.
New Pinot Release from A.P. Vin, one of Pinot's hottest up and coming labels and sourced from the Rancho Ontiveros vineyard in the Central Coast. Very Limited - Only 50 cases were made! Hurry...
previous vintage 93 Points Wine Spectator: "Big, smooth, rich and generous, displaying lively plum, wild berry and blackberry flavors that touch on jammy in a pleasing way. This picks up spice and nutmeg scents, showing a firmness that gives the flavors traction. Drink now through 2020."

New Release from A.P. Vin, one of Pinot's hottest up-and-coming labels and sourced from the famous Kanzler Vineyard in Sonoma. Tiny production.
95 Points Brix26: "The 2015 vintage has a ton of structure with hints of blackberries and dried cherries on the nose. It's wonderfully savory on the palate specifically with fresh earth and some brown spice notes (nutmeg and cola). Another terrific wine from winemaker Andrew Vingiello."
A.P. Vin is a small-production winery based in San Francisco. Winemaker/owner Andrew P. Vingiello started the company in 2003 and made it his full-time gig in 2005. The wines he makes are single-vineyard Pinot Noir from some of the best sites in California like this limited Kanzler Vineyard release from the Sonoma Coast. The fruit from Kanzler Vineyard is some of the most coveted in all of California and only select few top Pinot Noir producers like Kosta Browne get some.
New Pinot Release from A.P. Vin, one of Pinot's hottest up and coming labels and sourced from the famous Gary's Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands.
93 Points Robert Parker: "The Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard offers lots of savory, medium-bodied, complex notes of sassafras, scrub brush, black cherry, peppery spice and earth in a perfectly balanced, layered package. Its integrated acidity and fine tannin all suggest it will drink nicely through 2022...Winemaker Andrew Vingiello continues to make a bevy of brilliant wines. They’re always packed with fruit, yet never lose typicity or soul. All of these Pinot Noirs were mostly destemmed (a few have 25% whole cluster) and aged in French oak barrels, with an average of 50% new."
93 Points Wine Spectator: "A rich, unctuous style, with layers of mocha, blackberry, wild berry, currant and boysenberry, yet for all the richness, this glides on the palate, ending with a long, lingering aftertaste that keeps repeating the dark berry themes. Drink now through 2022. 275 cases made."
