Honig makes one of Napa Valley's Classic Cabernets!

91 Points Wine Spectator:
"Bright and open in feel, with damson plum and red currant notes, laced with savory and bay leaf details, ending with a mix of red tea, singed cedar and sanguine echoes. Drink now through 2030."

90 Points Jeb Dunnuck:
"Lots of red and black currants, scorched earth, new leather, lavender, and savory herb notes emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, a medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced, ripe, textured 2019 that has plenty to love. It's already drinking nicely yet will certainly keep for 8-10 years."

The Honig family purchased the Rutherford Vineyard in 1964, and began producing wine in 1980. In 1984, at the age of 22, Michael Honig took over management of the vineyard and winery. With the help of a handful of family members and a staff of dedicated employees, what began as a small “garage” winery has today become a successful family enterprise, with everyone working collaboratively to run an inspiring and socially responsible business.

At Honig they believe it is their responsibility to preserve resources and sustain the environment. Their family and employees have been committed to environmentally sound practices for decades. Their Napa Green and California Sustainable Winegrowing Association certifications are but one component of an overall sustainable culture encompassing their vineyard, winery and business.
