94 Points James Suckling: "A firm and silky red with dark berry, cherry and spice character. Full body. Integrated and beautiful fruit. Savory finish. Shows balance and tension for this warm vintage. Made from biodynamically grown grapes."

93+ Points Robert Parker: "Blended of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petite Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-black colored Grgich Hills 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville Old Vine opens with cassis, plums, violets and fragrant earth with notions of tobacco and cedar. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is taut and lithe yet well defined in the mouth with a grainy frame and refreshing herbal lift on the long finish."

From some of the oldest Cabernet Vines in the entire Napa Valley, and usually available to Winery Club members only. This is a full-bodied and well-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with rich flavors of red currant, elderberry and citrus flower.

Mike Grgich first gained international recognition at the celebrated "Paris Tasting" of 1976 in which a panel of eminent French judges swirled, sniffed, and sipped an array of the fabled white Burgundies of France and a small sampling of upstart Chardonnays from the Napa Valley. When the results where in, the French judges were shocked: they had chosen Mike’s 1973 Montelena Chardonnay as the finest white wine in the world. Mon Dieu! The results stunned the international wine establishment and immediately earned Mike Grgich a reputation as one of the greatest winemakers in the world.ors.
