A fantastic dessert wine from France. Montbazillac is known as a 'stunt double' for the much more expensive Sauternes. The rare "Madame" is only made in the finest of vintages and a tiny amount is produced - only 50 cases imported to the US. This a 500ml bottle.

Brix26 Inside Scoop: Sauternes lies to the south of Bordeaux, while Montbazillac lies just East of this famous winegrowing center. While Sauternes is widely know as producing some of the world's finest and most expensive sweet white wines, Montbazillac produces wines that offer an almost identical taste and flavor experience but at a fraction of the price. The Chateau Tirecul La Graviere "Madame" 2003 is one of the highest-scoring wines to come out of the region at an unreal price. Not much gets imported to the US market however.
