Selene wines are produced by Mia Klein who also happens to be the consulting winemaker at Dalla Valle, Fisher and Bressler Vineyards. For her own label, she sources fruit from the famed Hyde Vineyard (Kistler, Paul Hobbs) to produce perhaps our favorite Sauvignon Blanc to date. The Selene 2007 Hyde Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc aromas begin with white peach, pineapple, melon, and tangerine. This 2007 wine also has a very floral, blossomy character about it with pear blossom and honeysuckle tones in particular. The flavor concentration has wonderful intensity and impact in the mouth, with that just right balance between rich viscosity and good acidity.
