The new Twenty Rows 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is a fantastic value in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and a highly recommended new release. A great new discovery, this Cab has a richness and elegance that is rare to find at this price.
The secret on this one? This is a new label from Napa Valley producer Vinoce Cellars, know for their $60 Cabernets so this wine has fantastic pedigree! Sourced from Diamond Mountain and Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. Chosen #1 by Food & Wine Magazine, October 2006.
Tasting Notes: Beautiful color with penetrating aromas that begin with a presence of black currant, graphite, hints of earth and undertones of espresso. Bright yet plush, with black cherry, blackberry, currant, licorice, chocolate and smoke flavors, all neatly layered for complexity. Firm, solid tannins provide good structure, weight and a great mid-palate grip. Long finish rounds out this wine. Only 3500 cases of Twenty Rows Cabernet were produced.
