Swanson 2004 Merlot, Napa Valley

One of our favorite Napa Valley Merlot's year in and year out, the Swanson Vineyards 2004 Merlot Napa Valley is fantastic and the best they've produced in years! We call this "The Cab lovers Merlot" from the heart of Oakville in Napa Valley.

The 2004 Swanson Merlot Napa Valley is a powerful, concentrated expression of the variety. The nose shows black cherry, smoke, blackberry, and espresso. The flavors in the mouth echo the aromatic expression nicely. The fine-grained tannins for which our Merlots have become known provide the round, ripe texture of this wine. While drinking surprisingly well today, this wine will improve and be enjoyable for at least the next 6-8 years. Close your eyes and you may find yourself on the Right Bank in Bordeaux.
