One of the best values in California Zin we've found this year. Sausal's estate Zinfandel is produced from dry farmed vines that average 50 years of age and make a soft and approachable Zinfandel. Pair this wine with spicy pasta, pork or grilled chicken. Will cellar nicely for at least six years.
91 Points Wine Spectator: "Supple but well-structured, with an underlying briary quality. Offers dusty cherry and white pepper aromas and nicely layered ripe plum, loam and anise flavors that finish with zesty, sage-tinged tannins. Drink now through 2012.
