Neyers 2005 Pato Vineyard Zinfandel

A small-production blockbuster from Turley winemaker Ehran Jordan!

If you like the big-fruit Turley style Zins, Neyers is for you. We recently tasted this brand new release at the big Zinfandel tasting (ZAP) in San Francisco and though it was a blockbuster. The vines in Rich Pato's striking, old-vine parcel in Oakley, CA are 100 years old! The vineyard yielded just 23 tons of fruit in 2004, all of it perfectly ripened. The Neyers 2005 Pato Vineyard Zinfandel is dark, plump, rich and soft enough to be immediately engaging. The aroma is like a bowl of freshly crushed strawberries. This wine sells out fast every year and for good reason. Only 1,900 cases produced.
