Very limited new release from Brian Loring, a small producer who has the midas touch with Pinot Noir in California. He sources from the best vineyards in the state and hand crafts some of the finest Pinot Noirs we've tasted. Only 600 cases produced.
97 Points The Pinot Report: "Deep ruby color, deep, spicy, pepper aromas with some berry notes; big, deep, rich and intense flavors; black cherry, pepper, spice notes; moderate tannin; sweet oak; good structure and balance; long finish. Great structure with deep and complex flavors; try your best to restrain yourself for at least an hour of air in the glass. It really opens up."
94 Points Wine Enthusiast: "This is a fabulous vineyard. The growers go to endless pains, and the talented winemakers at Loring rose to the occasion and have produced a compelling Pinot Noir. Dry and crisp in acids, it's enormously complex, with the cherry, pomegranate and cola fruit flavors made more interesting with the tastes of earth, mushrooms, balsamic and espresso."
