Master of Merlot, Bob Foley (winemaker at Pride), crafts this massively endowed merlot. While only scant amounts are made, the Engel Family Merlot is a classic. If you like the wines of Switchback, Pride, Hourglass, this is one not to be missed!
The Engel Family 2003 Merlot Napa Valley has a great ripe texture with explosive elderberry, plum and chocolate flavors. Quite full bodied with powdery, sweet fruit. Really huge and delicious. Try it while its available which, sadly, won't be long.
