Winemaker Dave Phinney, well known for crafting The Prisoner and Mercury Head Cabernet, has done it again with a smalll-production Napa Cabernet for Cavus, a family run vineyard nestled in the hillside of the Stag’s Leap appellation. Only 200 cases made.
previous vintage 95 Points Wine Spectator: "Combines bold, ripe, rich and supple currant and blackberry fruit with shades of anise, mineral, black licorice, mocha and graphite. Picks up a complex earthiness, ending with a long, focused finish and fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2017."
