A delicious blend of Rhone varietals from Santa Barbara - a great alternative to Chardonnay!
The Beckmen 2005 LeBec Blanc is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne and Grenache Blanc, all grown at Beckmen's Purisima Mountain Vineyard. This wine is loaded with complex aromas and flavors of honeyed stone fruits, minerals, nuts and spice, with a lush texture and great structure. Enjoy this wine over the next 7-8 years; it will age beautifully.
Robert Parker: "The 2005 Le Bec Blanc is a blend of 57% Roussanne, 30% Marsanne, and 13% white Grenache. A heck of a bargain, it shows the potential for these grape varietals in this cool area. Honeysuckle, orange rind, and lemon blossom-like notes along with copious fruit, excellent ripeness, and a medium-bodied, long finish suggest this beauty should be enjoyed over the next 1-2 years."
