Awesome new release from one of our favorite small Napa Zin producers! If you aren't familiar with the reds from Elyse try them now as they always sell out fast. Old-vine Zin from the famed Morisoli Vineyard in the heart of the Rutherford Bench.
The Elyse 2007 Morisoli Vineyard Zinfandel Napa Valley is deep purplish ruby in color and reveals intense aromas of sweet briary fruit, dried herbs and creme de cassis. Intoxicating aromas are followed by a cornucopia of flavors including black raspberries, wild cherries, black currants and orange zest, along with nutmeg and slightly peppery spice. It exhibits nice harmony with well-integrated wood and acidity. This gracefully complex wine is full bodied with a creamy texture, soft tannins, and a long lingering finish.
