Breggo 2009 Gewurztraminer, Anderson Valley
Price: $25.00
Purchase
Breggo's new release of one of California's finest Gewurztraminers!
previous vintage 91 Points Robert Parker: "I have a longstanding hostility to most California Gewurztraminers, with the exception of the Z Moore efforts and occasionally a Martinelli Gewurztraminer. Breggo’s 2008 Gewurztraminer is the real deal. A huge nose of intoxicatingly peppery, spicy aromas intermixed with lychee nuts and apricots soars from the glass of this beauty. With terrific fruit, medium to full body, and a dry, long finish, it is best drunk over the next several years. These wines were a remarkable discovery. Anderson Valley is becoming one of the “hot” new cool climate sources of not only white varietals, but also increasing quantities of high quality Pinot Noir. Breggo Cellars’ label pays homage to what used to be a robust sheep farming area, now replaced by grapevines.
